Ashley Taggart is a mental health advocate with an eye for fashion. In the midst of all this craziness, she’s sharing her own story of how she almost forgot to check in on herself. Here’s what she had to say in a post to her instagram feed:

“These times have me feeling a bit upside down! What I’ve come to realize is how important it is to make sure we are taking care of our physical and mental health!

Where we are all doing our part to keep others who are vulnerable safe by practicing social distancing. It is so important to remember our own physical and mental health as well.

Last month I became very sick & I knew I needed care as well as help knowing what was best for my physical health. I was scared to visit the hospital and nervous to visit a doctors office because I was having severe breathing issues. Where I had tested negative for COVID, I was very vulnerable due to the condition my lungs were in. My treatment had to change on multiple occasions before it was successful. I was grateful for the availability of my doctors via Teledoc. It was because of them that I was able to seek treatment without putting my health at further risk! 🥰

I want to share how important it is to know that there are healthcare providers from therapists to your family & pediatric doctors all around the country who have moved their practices online so that they can better help us during these uncertain times!”
