Whether for her own mental health or #boymom conundrums, Nicole is grateful that telehealth has been available to her throughout this pandemic. When COVID-19 was just starting to lock down parts of the country, Nicole happened to catch a bug. Rather than go to the doctor and risk getting Coronavirus, she was able to utilize telehealth services to ensure she was on her way to recovery without leaving the house.
“Naturally, the week all of this happened a couple months ago I got sick. I didn’t want to chance picking up any other virus by going to the doctor or urgent care, so I thought I would just see what happened.
During quarantine, I’ve had two video calls with doctors, and had to call the boys’ pediatrician for, you know, #boymom things: pretzel in the nose and running into a wall head on and cutting it open.
I am so glad that even though times are crazy, there are still ways to communicate with our doctors to get the help we need. All I had to do was set up a time and have a video call with my doctor to explain all of my symptoms. It was so simple!
Whether it’s mental health, a sickness or something small, so many doctors are here for you and are just a phone or video call away. I love the technology we have right now to keep us safe and connected to our doctors. Has anyone else used these services during quarantine?”
