It took about two months, but Shanel is finally getting the hang of this social distancing thing.
Part of what’s made that transition possible is her ability to stay connected; to friends, to family and to her mental health. On top of googling new recipes and outdoor workouts, Shanel’s been looking into online therapy sessions, and she was surprised to discover how many options she has. That is why health insurance providers are waiving cost-sharing for telehealth services and significantly expanding access to telemedicine programs.
“Two months into social distancing and I think I’m getting the hang of it 🤣I’m so grateful for technology & social media to stay connected to everyone and safely work from home 👩🏽💻
Now more than ever it’s important to continue taking care of ourselves both mentally and physically. I’ve been trying out new recipes, reading, outdoor workouts 🏃🏾♀️ and looking into online therapy sessions.
During these uncertain times, therapists and doctors all around the country have moved their practices online so we can still get the help we need since going into a physical office isn’t possible 🥼”
