Right now, self care is more important than ever. However, holistic health can’t always be achieved alone. Tenille Johnson knows that African American communities are disproportionately affected by COVID-19, and she wants Black Americans to know that affordable insurance is just a click away.
“I believe in enjoying life to the fullest. The practice of doing so is a major form of self care for me. Whether I’m healing my soul on the beach, or practicing yoga and deep breathing at home, my goal is to take care of me, the best I can, so I can give my best to my loved ones.
While we are navigating the COVID-19 Pandemic, where African American communities are being impacted at a higher rate than those of other racial groups, it is imperative that we prioritize taking care of ourselves. Specifically, by making choices that support our health holistically, including eating healthy, exercising, feeding our minds healthy thoughts, combating anxiety, and working toward healing ourselves of conditions passed down to us generationally as a result of enslavement, discrimination, racism and intentional sabotage.
Another choice that can support our holistic health, is being prepared with affordable health coverage, especially in the event of an emergency. There are many different insurance options available for people who need to get coverage. I urge you to seek them out if you are uninsured.”
