Most of Yunah’s social media content revolves around new looks, interesting cities and amazing food, but she’s putting a pause on that to share a critical message with her followers.

On top of running a successful blog, Yunah is Physician Assistant-Certified, and she wants her followers to understand the benefits of telehealth during COVID-19. That is why health insurance providers are waiving cost-sharing for telehealth services and significantly expanding access to telemedicine programs.

“As I mentioned so many times before, taking care of your mental health is vital – especially in times like these where the future is uncertain. However, we are very fortunate to live in this day and age where technology can aid us! ⁣

All around the country, your healthcare providers (including myself) are providing telehealth for those who need it! This way, even if you can’t physically go into the office, our patients can still get the treatment they need. I believe that it’s so important to let everyone know that telehealth is available because your health and well-being don’t just halt due to external circumstances. We’re here, as your healthcare providers, to be present for you in times you need it the most.

Whether it be providers such as myself offering phone/video calls for medication management, or therapists offering sessions over the phone, or physical therapists (such as my husband) using video chats to help their routine patients, there are telehealth services available through your insurance coverage that can help you get the treatment you need.⁣

If you or anyone you know needs to be seen by a health professional – whether it be physical or mental health – please reach out to your insurance provider to find services near you!”
